10 Best Tech // Companies To Work In || India

Great Places to Work Institute recently launched its annual list of best places to work in India. In its eleventh year, it saw a participation of over 600 organisations in 20 different sectors. The study used employee centric framework which measures the level of pride, trust and camaraderie in an organisation.

Here are the top tech companies in India:

1.Google

Google tops this year’s list as well. The ability to share ideas directly with the top management and feeling of being taken care of has made Google the winner, 6th year in a row.

To encourage collaboration, Google cafes have long tables to bring different departments together and they also help employees in their career paths. It also pushes to pursue your interest areas like music, dance or any form of art.

2.Intel

Intel India ranks at number second in the survey. “The most important thing you can give to an employee is a challenging work environment where they are able to grow. Our people are comfortable with the risk and, we encourage them to challenge assumptions and old school methods of doing things” says Intel India president, Kumud Srinivasan, who is a dedicated employee of Intel from past 27 years. Reverse mentoring, learning from the youth, encouraging more management participation and space to think outside the box are valued supplements to this firm.

3.SAP Labs

SAP Labs stands third in the list. The employees feel that the company is a place where they are put first. Shivaram say, “If you take care of people, the processes and policies will automatically be taken care of”. Leadership is fostered from within, giving employees a better shot at growth. There are regular motivational seminars by eminent personalities like Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and NR narayana Murthy in recent times. The company manages diversity very well. It adds to environment as well by providing eighty percent of the campus accounts for green space.

4.Adobe Systems

Adobe systems is headed by Naresh Gupta, who built the workspace by step by step method. he believes that pursuing excellence at each step forces you to come out with the desired results. In his rulebook, employees are the most important ingredient in any engaging workplace.

5.Intuit

Intuit, which is a finance software maker places its new employee in “no workspace” for first thirty days. This is done in order to ensure that a new employee devotes its full attention in learning the business and understand company's vision. They also allow five days leave in case of a death of immediate family member. Intuit allows paternal leave of seven days to the fathers and these methods lower the attrition rate of a company by less than seven per cent.

6.NetApp

NetApp India ranks at eleventh position in world ranking. The company is a part of US based computer storage and data management company. Some of the best HR practices are followed in NetApp where there is a “Briefcase” application which is designed for new employees to make it easier for them to get around all the websites. It has 1,849 employees with the gender ratio of 1:4.12.

7.Microsoft Corporation

Microsoft Corporation ranks number fourteenth in the list of “Top best companies to work with”. At Microsoft, ‘As appropriate’ interview is a critical part of its interview process. regardless of the qualification of hiring manager, another interviewer is added to the loop to ensure thorough evaluation. With its 6,593 employees, it ranks among the “best company in diversion and inclusion”

8. Vodafone

Being the first telecom company in India, Vodafone ranks at number eighteenth. Its onboarder coaching for new employees has helped many to integrate themselves to the existing employees. It also brought down employee attrition rate to 16 per cent from 17.5 per cent. Now it has power of 12,102 employees.

9.Tavant Technologies

Tavant Technologies is the next company on the list. One of its best practices includes “procats”, an online technical learning app which includes various Java problems contributed by employees. They solve the problem and upload it back to the server and their result decides the training hours based on the type of problems solved.

10. Aspire Systems

Aspire Systems stands at number ten. They practice “The aspire calender” which is a prestigious mark for every employee. It makes them brand ambassadors of Aspire systems. Aspire currently has 1,056 employees.
